Thank you for visiting Healthy Family Chiropractic, LLC. If you would like to see my credentials, please see my Curriculum Vitae. This page is an introduction to me and who I am, my mission and why I am a chiropractor.
I graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University Magna Cum Laude in Bloomington, MN and have been practicing and helping people ever since. It has been exciting for me starting my own business and getting to know so many wonderful and different people.
I am a Colorado native who could not wait to get back home. I grew up in Westminster, CO graduating from Iver C. Ranum High School and continuing my education at CU Boulder, where I earned my BA in Kinesiology.
I love running and hiking in this beautiful state. I am currently training for a half marathon in October. I now understand why so many active people move to our state.
My mission as a chiropractor is to help people find their more healthful state, through adjustments, better nutrition and exercise. I believe all people can decrease if not eliminate their daily aches and pains by taking better care of their bodies. In the end, we only take one thing with us and that is our health. I strive to help decrease low back pain in pregnant women. I also want to help more children through chiropractic. With the numerous bumps and falls children take and the very strenuous task of being born childrens spines are put to the ultimate test. By relieving spinal stress and subluxations early in life, they will have decreased problems in the future.
I became a chiropractor thanks to my childhood chiropractor Dr. Lee Patton. My parents first took me to see a chiropractor when I fell off a trampoline when I was 12 years old. I had been experiencing back pain that was not improving or changing. My parents had always seen a chiropractor so brought me in to see if he could help. I was amazed at how quickly my back pain improved. I then began seeing him whenever I was under high amounts of stress (school finals) and found I was healthier and felt less tension after every visit.
I went to college thinking about chiropractic, but still had ambitions of being a physical therapist. I volunteered in our school clinic and continued on my path. During my second year of undergrad I attended a meeting put on by a chiropractic school in Cleveland. I was hooked from the minute he started talking. Suddenly I was excited about something, more than I had ever been for physical therapy. I had a goal and I was going to reach it. I then looked into all of the extra classes I would need to get into a good chiropractic college and as they say the rest is history.
I love the challenge of being a chiropractor and always seeing new cases and new people to treat. I love the smile on someones face once they have truly noticed a change in their health. I believe true happiness really does come from helping others.
